Our commitment
Frunk & Trunk (frunkandtrunk.com) is a price-comparison site for electric-vehicle accessories, and we want everyone to be able to use it — whatever device, browser or assistive technology you bring. Our target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, across the whole site. This statement applies to the pages published on frunkandtrunk.com; the seller websites we link out to are covered under Known limitations below.
Measures to support accessibility
Accessibility is built into how the site is made rather than checked afterwards. Every change to the interface goes through an expert accessibility review against WCAG 2.2 Level AA before it ships, and automated scans and a programmatic color-contrast check back that review up (described under Assessment approach below).
The site itself is built from standard native HTML elements, works fully with a keyboard, announces dynamic updates to screen readers through one consistent mechanism, and respects your system’s reduced-motion and increased-contrast (forced-colors) settings. Core content — browsing, search, prices, product details — is rendered on our server and works without JavaScript.
Conformance status
WCAG defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA and Level AAA. Frunk & Trunk is fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: the content we create and control conforms to the standard without exceptions, based on the assessment described below.
Product listings also include material supplied by third-party sellers — photos and listing text — and purchases are completed on sellers’ own websites. Neither is under our control, and both are described honestly under Known limitations.

If any part of this site is hard to use with your assistive technology, or you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere, please tell us at hello@frunkandtrunk.com. We aim to respond within five business days, and accessibility reports go to the front of the queue for fixes.
Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari) on both phones and desktops, and with screen readers and other assistive technology through standard HTML semantics. Every feature can be operated with a keyboard alone, the site honors reduced-motion and forced-colors system preferences, and because pages are server-rendered, core content works with JavaScript disabled.
Technical specifications
Accessibility of the site relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript working with your browser and assistive technologies, with a small amount of WAI-ARIA used to announce dynamic updates (for example, search-result counts). Conformance does not depend on JavaScript: pages arrive as complete HTML, and scripts only add conveniences such as the Garage on top.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some things on and around the site are outside our control. We list them here so you know what to expect, along with what we do about each.
Purchases are completed on each seller’s own website, and we cannot control how accessible those sites are. If you follow a link from us and hit a barrier, the seller is the right first contact for their site — but tell us too: many products are sold by more than one seller, and we can often help you find an alternative listing.
Product photos come from sellers, and the alternative text sellers supply is not always descriptive. Rather than pass unreliable descriptions to your screen reader, we present product photos as decorative, with the product’s name and details as real text beside them. The trade-off is that a visual detail appearing only in the photo may go undescribed; the seller’s full listing usually says more, and you are welcome to ask us at the address above.
Listing text — titles, descriptions, prices and options — is fetched live from Shopify’s Global Catalog and written by sellers, not by us. We always present it in an accessible structure (labeled form controls, real text, information never conveyed by color alone), but the wording itself is the sellers’. If a listing is confusing or unreadable, report it and we will flag it to the seller where we can.
Assessment approach
We assess the site ourselves, continuously, rather than with a one-off audit. Every interface change is reviewed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA by an accessibility specialist before it ships. Alongside that review, automated axe-core scans (the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rule sets at Levels A and AA) run on the key page templates at mobile and desktop screen sizes, an automated keyboard test suite exercises focus order and keyboard operability, and every color pairing in the design system is verified by an automated contrast check before a color change can land. Our most recent scans found no violations.
